Simoldes Plastics was present at Equiplast 2023

Simoldes Plásticos was present at Equiplast from May 30th to June 2nd in Barcelona. Equiplast is the trade fair that gathers together all the sectors of plastic and rubber to promote solutions to address the global challenges related to their impact on the environment.

We were present with the latest developments of the TECH4 T-RTM project, together with the promoter BTL and co-promoter Universidade de Aveiro. The project aims the development of a production system for structural components in thermoplastic composite material, based on an emerging thermoplastic liquid molding technology.

This system allows the injection of polymeric precursor agents of reduced viscosity. Through a subsequent chemical polymerization reaction “in situ”, they will give origin to the polymer, facilitating the development of thermoplastic matrixes reinforced, for example, with fibers and/or nanoparticles.
