The BluEnergy project aims to design and develop low-cost, durable redox flow batteries and their production process to store energy from renewable sources, as well as the development of a new electrode concept and a new energy storage system based on polyoxometalates (POMs).
With an investment of €1,174,334.80, this project is co-financed under the Portugal 2020 Programme with €704,096.18 from the European Regional Development Fund.
The BluEnergy project was in force for three years, from June 2020 to June 2023, with Simoldes Plásticos as promoter, Visblue Portugal and Universidade do Porto as co-promoters.
